Re: 450 RT re-build
I'll admit it did keep me awake a bit last night thinking about the picture of the smashed rod.
I didn't buy this one as a cheap rod and I'm a bit annoyed about it.
The welsh plugs didn't fit tightly in one end of the pin so I sent the pin back for another one which was the same. So I had to make one from a larger plug from a car cam shaft.
I should've just asked for my money back and bought one from Carlo or the Scrambler club in Italy.
Is yours steel? Does it have a pressed in big end shell? What size are the rollers?
Graeme. (Brisbane time is 6.15 pm)

Yes purchased from Carlo I did not measure the dia of the rollers and the rod is made from steel with an insert in the big end journal.

For some reason I thought you were in the States I had just been checking the time in Reno Nevada when you replied as I have to call a company there.

Re: 450 RT re-build
Hi. I'm new to this board. That's my RT and demolished engine bits pictured at the top of the thread. I've been lurking here for about 2 or 3 days. It looks like a good place, so I figured I should join in. I'll add some more pics and fill in the back story later.
