" I increased the chamfer using my bench grinder, and the whole thing re-assembeled perfectly! "
____ So I gather that your previous fitment-issue was basically due merely to the kit's spacer-tube having been too fat (at it's inner-base) to be able to fit squarely at it's intended position right-next to the raised boss below it.
If so, then that seems to indicate that that kit was not well prepared. _ Your other/second kit should be checked to see if the same situation will occur with it as well.
__ What size drill-bit did you use to actually drill your hole with ?
Larger drill-bits tend to wonder off-center when trying to drill without a good-sized punch-mark on the intended drill-spot, (which is what I HAD assumed had happened in your case),, so that's why I recommend STARTING the hole with a 1/8th-bit first.
__ Your next job (on whichever Duke) should go just fine for you !
Hopeful-Cheers,
-Bob

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob

I'm hoping we can put this topic to rest with a "how-to" page.
The link above is also on the "Tech" page.
Let me know if you think it has mistakes or needs further information.
I have to do the Mach 1 and I have to go back and put a locking washer on the clutch hub nut of the 'Mark 3', so I will have the opportunity to take more photos.
