NC vs. WC selector box question

I have both a NC & WC selector box for my 66 Monza. Is the new WC better because it is a later design?

The w-c designed parts solved troubles which the n-c parts suffered from, but the newer designed parts then developed their-own troubles (which weren't as bad).
