Hi Dan,
The hole in my air box is exactly two inches across. So I guess it`s too small to accept the early style hose. I`m resolved to go with the Ram Air foam filter. I think it will do a nice job.
Thanks for the info.

Monza Air-hose Fitment
" The hole in my air box is exactly two inches across. So I guess it`s too small to accept the early style hose. "
____ As I've previously pointed-out, the 65 & 66 air-hoses are the same except for the 65-type's additional oval-elbow connection to the 65-style's side-cover. ...
The overall-OD has to be the larger size which it is so as to keep itself held into place within the air-box/side-cover (once fitted).
As I had meant to point-out before, those hoses obviously have TWO (altering) outer-diameters ! _ And it's the smaller of the two which actually 'FITS' the hole-opening, (while the larger "overall-OD" has to be squeezed-through, at least one or two bellow-lips).
Therefore the pre-66 type air-hose could possibly be cut-off & shortened so as to normally fit a 66-Monza, without being too fat to seal (such as it was meant to).

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob

I just measured the 'smaller outer diameter' of my '65 intake hose and it's 2". The length of the hose to the last 'smaller outer diameter' is 3". The length of the hose to the last 'larger outer diameter' is 3 1/4".
