Front Hubs

There is a thread on Ducati.ms about someone looking for a hub for a scrambler. I thought all the 180mm front hubs were the same but I wanted to check some of my books. In Tom Bailey's book re the 450 Jupiter, he states "wheel hubs which appeared to be identical to the Grimeca units on the 250 and 350 but which actually were heavier and stronger and featured 12 cast in reinforcing rays rather than the standard six".

To confirm, I pulled the front wheel off my bike today and sure enough...



Strange how Ducati reused so many parts from model to model but then would use a one-off for a single model. Anyone know if any other bikes used this same hub?
