SS1 27D atomiser

Postby Mark » Mon Feb 27, 2012 8:29 pm

Hi all, it has been a while since I've posted, sorry I now work 3rd shift. While I was preparing my 66' Scr for the upcoming sring weather, I snapped the threads off the atomiser! It was a 265 and is my understanding they are no longer made. Has anyone have an extra one they would be willing to sell, know where to get another one, or offer a suggestion for something comparable? Any and all help is much appreciated.

Mark,

Try http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/_C2501.cfm; they don't seem to have 265 though.

Looked there and tried to order one but got a response saying that they were no longer able to get them because the 265s were discontinued. My question then is if a 268 will work without any major issues. Thanks for the help.

Hi Mark, I am running a 260 on my 250 Mark3, I was told by Road Race (Australia) that it is a better bet than a 265,I think its a pattern part as it has no cross drilling. I have measured the bore and it is 0.260 mm.Must be worth trying the 260 or 262 listed ,after all you can always open out a smaller jet .If you get one please measure the cross drilling hole size and its position and let me know what you find.I have found that going weaker on settings seems to work in all areas ,must be way fuel is these days.

Mark, If you decide to go with a 268, buy it from domiracer.com, not that other link that was posted... Domiracer has the 268, 270, and 275 for $11.13 each, instead of the $39.95 that other site is charging, and I know for sure they are nos dellorto, not reproductions. I have bought a lot of dellorto stuff from them...

Same problem with that place, everything is double to triple the price of other sources, plus shipping is from the u.k.
they also only have sizes starting at 268 and going larger...

Interesting that the Euro Carb stock do not have bleed holes?, real or fakes?.
