Jon, Thanks for the info, I am the high bidder on that one at the moment...well see what happens
Rick, thanks for the pics I have a line on a guy in spain that has several nos, ss1, and ss2 bowl assemblies. He said spain is on "holiday" right now though, he said 90 to 100 euro each, but he needs to check shipping price still, im waiting to hear back from him in the next week or so.

To be painfully pedantic, it occurs to me that the title of this thread should be:
"Info/pics sought on SS1 fuel bowl with remote 30D carb"
Jordan
"Info/pics sought on SS1 fuel bowl with remote 30D carb"

Well....not that I care, or think it matters, or think its worth posting about or replying too for that matter....but... It is most peoples view that a fuel bowl would be considered "remote" from a carb. not vice versa, and fyi the carb is known as an SS1 and was a precursor to the fuel bowl... furthermore as its been pointed out, the ss1-30d carb which I have, came with an ss2 fuel bowl... Which makes my posting title 100% accurate, of course this is all just for the record...

Hello . I am sure the correct size float chamber will be an SS2 for a 30mm Carb. I have used remote chambers on my racers over the years
and there is one important point you Must get the fuel level absolutely correct which can be time cosuming with the bike being on flat ground and
absolutely perpendicular. I have an article by an Aermacchi tuner which is very usefull ..
So far as a SS1 Chamber not clearing the frame on a NC you will need a Bottom feed chamber which are as rare as anything. In fact I am looking for a bottom feed
SS2 for my 125 GP if anyone has one for sale. JOHN

Hi John, I have been told that there is also an SS3 remote for the smaller carbs , but have not seen one , my new SS1 remote has the feed to the carb from the bottom, with an 8mm bore ,looks more than a 250 would need. Have you had the 125 running ?.

Re: INFO/PICS SOUGHT ON SS1 30 D WITH REMOTE FUEL BOWL
Thanks to john, and others for the info... this actually would be going on a w/c duke, but still I suppose i should be looking for the correct ss2 bowl, I have heard back from the guy in spain who has a bunch for sale, he said he would sell me 2 complete nos assemblies for 100 euro each, plus 17 euro shipping, seems like a good price right ? I really only need 1 though (he would sell me one also, but shipping is the same) the only reservation I have, is that I have never dealt with him, and it is not an "ebay item" I would be paying with paypal though, so there is some protection from scams at least... If anyone wants the info to possibly buy one of these assemblies for themselves, p.m. me and let me know...
thanks, Joe

Hello . I have never seen a SS3 chamber . It must be very small !! Does your bottom feed SS1 have the same clamping arrangement as normal or does it "dangle" From an overhead bracket ?
I have now got my 125 GP running . It had not been fired up for over 40 years and surprised the neighbours and set off all the local car alarms! It makes an awesome noise .
I attatch for interest a photo of the 125 which is basically original with 2 piece alloy fairing as I found it last Xmas lurking in a back room of a house about 2 miles away from where I live. It was aparently one of the Ducati team bikes sent over for the 1958 TT.
