and they have reduced the price by $2000 from when they first put the ad on last year......this is about 30 miles away from my house if anybody interested I will look at it for you and if you wanted it I would pick it up and make arrangements for pick up..just a thought..

educate me on mototrans (spanish) what is the difference between a regular duc? I remember reading the narrow cases were italian and widecases supposedly not?

I did contact this guy to make an offer but he stated he was holding the bike for someone to see if that person could get funds available..

The Mototrans bikes came with Akront wheels, Amal carbs, Telesco forks and shocks. The seat and tank are a little different from the Italian bikes. The headlight mounts with the 750 style wire supports. I think all the Mototrans bikes have the electronic ignition. Inside the engine the gear that drives the oil pump is supposed to be fiber rather than steel. I haven't opened mine up to look yet. Also, there are supposed to be issues with the Spanish heat treating of the camshafts on some bikes. You can identify the Mototrans engines by the lack of "Made in Italy" on the small clutch inspection cover. Those are the differences I know of. Also on timing cover an Italian wide case singles it says "made in Italy" And an engine builder told me, that the trans gear set is softer and don't hold up as well as Itallian gear steel. Most of the moto trans "road" have really cool snail type rear wheel chain adjusters. My friend bought 4 250-350 road models changed them over to points type ign, More reliable. I rode one, a black & chrome 250 road,new if some one hadn't told me they were a little different, I couldn't tell the difference from an Italian cousin. Berliner sold them in the end.
