On the Ducbits site there is a set of honda front forks with an 8 inch brake and a 19 inch wheel for $125. Don't know if that is the 200mm brake Rick is talking about or not.
Also, I talked to David at Ducbits and he told me that 180mm 2LS is made to fit the ducati drum on most of our singles. it is a snug fit on the boss on the slider that keeps it from rotating. the reinforcing ribs that radiate out from the bearing on the hub need to be releived about 1/8th inch to clear the return springs. the plate has a functional scoop with a mesh screen over it and he describes it as having a racy look. He is sending me a picture. Said he is selling from his first run and the price is $400.00 the next run will be $500.

Dave from Ducbits sent me this photo. it is of the 180mm 2LS brake that with minor modification as mentioned in the preceeding post should fit our Dukes. I think it does look racy if a bit crude. those sharp edges could be rounded off easy enough.
Shown here are two brakes so that you can see the insides.

Does DucBits have an idea of when they will do the production run? I might be interested in getting one.

Hi Teckhardt
I don't think I asked that question, but got the idea he would not order the next run til he depleated the current stock.
Here is his contact. He is not much of a computer guy but returns calls.

Why not? It's not well-finished like Harleys, but if it works well?

I don't see the DucBits front brake on their site, but I do see the 2LS conversion for the 160MM rear Grimeca that I have see for sale on some sites.

Curious about the quality issue as well.
