WTB: 1960's scrambler tank

Postby sebouh » Thu May 05, 2011 3:32 am

Hello All,

I am slowly but surely working through the restoration of my 1965 scrambler. JIM F came through huge with the key pieces for the front end. But now I am looking for a tank for the scrambler. I have a monza tank on it now, it just dont look right. So, any leads would be great. Should I do the fiberglass one, what about the ethanol? I have a GT1000 that is spreading due to the ethanol. Single tap or double tap? Does 10mm or 12 mm matter?

Thanks
Sebouh

If you are after an original 1960s scrambler tank, Yoshi at The Garage Company in Inglewood, LA had a couple on his shelves earlier this year.
Some of his prices seem a bit high, but all appear to be negotiable.
I picked up a few Ducati bargains when I was there.

Thanks all,

I got yoshi to send me one. Glad to have one that passed through his hands.
