this ebay listing shows rear wheel. Is it the same as the 450 would use or is it narrower?

That wheel would fit a 450, but it is a scrambler rear wheel and is fitted with a WM3 rim.
If fitted to a road machine rather than a scrambler you may have some clearance problems.
The usual place to catch is between the tyre and the rear seat mounting bolts.
On the scramblers the seat mounting bolts are in a slightly different place, together with the rear seat loop on the frame being kicked up.
The road going machines normally use a WM2 rim which is slightly narrower.
It's a nice wheel all the same.

Thanks Jon
Mine is probably a scrambler that is in cafe-ish trim tlc. Not sure where they are sourced from. both 18s now. would like a set of Ackront's front and rear.

____ All stock WideCase 250/350/450 Scramblers employ the very-same size wheels,
and also,
all stock WideCase 250/350/450 nonScrambler-models employ the same size (smaller sized) wheels.
__ That listed-wheel should fit no-problem, so long as you don't fit an over-sized tire !
However, if you've kept watch on how high these type wheels sell for on eBay, then you already know to expect to bid well over 200-bucks, if you have any real expectations of winning.
And for anyone who's not so serious to win this one, then ya ought as well not bother to bid, so that Mike (or who-ever the winner turns-out), ends-up getting a decent-deal.
Hopeful-Cheers,
-Bob

Bob
thanks for the info. I have not followed them. but all my ebay bids are done in the last seconds of the auction. so if it is at $200 then I won't be pulling the trigger. never know. If someone here is bidding let me know so I won't complicate matters.

____ I had already expected that YOU were the smart-type who's realized that
the old-slogan "Bid early & often!" was merely eBay's-way to get their members to donate even more funds to THEIR (deep!) pockets. _ However without all the stupid-bidders they have raked-in, eBay may never have gotten off the ground.
__ Anyhow, if you're not willing to go over 120, then there's very little hope... I wouldn't be too awfully surprised to see that Duke-wheel go near 400.
Sad-Cheers,
-Bob

A moot point for me. As Bob has predicted in the 11th hour, I was found wanting...

Akront Wheel on eBay
" As Bob has predicted "
____ Actually I was fairly surprised to see that wheel sold for well under 200 ! ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEDWX%3AIT
I think the reason for that relatively low turn-out had to do with the seller indicating that it was a "250 NARROW CASE" wheel, which thus may've limited it's appeal for others who might've then been led to also think that that (irrelevant detail) makes any difference (for usability on other Duke-models).
__ I know I've seen matched-pairs of similar complete alloy-type Duke-wheels sell for over 400, on eBay within recent past seasons.
____ On a slightly altered topic-path, I've noticed that it seems very few ever bother to check-over the relatively new 'Head's Up' section of Classifieds. _ Just thought I'd add this for any of those who may've forgotten of, or are unaware of it.
Daily-Cheers,
-Bob

Ebay and the internet. Makes the obscure available to everyone, but has made the killer deal harder to find.
