G'day Guys,
I have notice movement in my swingarm pivot but its not the bronze/brass bushes in the swingarm but in the pivot housing on the frames, is it usaul to have a piece of shim steel inside the frame pivot housing as a bush, was wondering how to over come the play, I am thinking just more shim steel????
Also do I have to undo the rear engine mount brackets bolt before I do up the two allen head pinch bolts of the frame pivot housing...
Hope all above makes sense..
Regards

Re: Swing Arm Movement
Nothing wrong with shimming around the spindle I think. But, not standard fitment (on widecase anyway) so what's happened to cause the unwanted clearance?

Re: Swing Arm Movement
well after talking to Phil @ Road and Race, it seems that someone had used a 28mm diameter pivot shaft which was cut to length to suit the narrow case swingarm, ordered 1, O/S pivot shaft, had the Bronze bushes reamed to suit and all sorted no new tight rear end.
