custom 350 from Germany

Postby Rick » Sat Feb 26, 2011 1:21 pm

Some won't like the style, but this guy does nice machine work- first eccentric ride height adjuster I've seen, even though the spring looks big enough for an SUV.

" Some won't like the style, "

____ I like it well enough, however I don't like the exhaust-system at all ! _ As it has a half-dozen too many SHARP-bends ! _ All that bent-up piping (as can be seen below) not only doesn't look too pleasing, but also certainly can't be so very good for performance.
__ Not so sure that this could still be called a 'Duke' , however this is one motorcycle which I'd certainly agree could be referred to as a Duke-motored 'bike' !

DUKE-Cheers,
-Bob

PS. - PLEASE point-out anything that's not appearing displayed quite correctly on YOUR monitor, concerning the altered-picture (posted directly below) !
(Be sure to compare with the original-pic [as seen by Rick's posted link], before-hand, though.)
__ UPDATE: Due to Mike's helpful tip-off, I've now replaced the pic I had posted with a much less brightened (however now color-enhanced) version...
Before, the original-pic was so dark enough on my monitor that I could not see any difference between the tires & the dark background. _ So I had merely lightened it up so that the tires then clearly showed-up separate from the background. _ That process (alone) made the bike's entire image show-up much better on MY monitor,, although it still didn't look too-good overall, thus the reason for my added-note/plea for any points concerning that picture's appearance.
I've now reset my altered-version in hopes that the readjusted-picture will then appear much improved on others' monitors, (although it's now still way too dark on mine).

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob

I like it in large part. I don't however like the lazer beam headlight and the digital gauge what ever it is.(tach I'm guessing) Digital gauges are not good for imediate assessment of what they are telling you. You must look at the numbers and decide what they mean, but a needle at the edge of the red line gets to your brain quicker. Saying that, I'm guessing it is more of a styling exercise than an actual racer. I'd like to see more details of that exhaust. looks like there is a chamber under the engine and wonder if there is a dump down there for race and then through the full pipe for street.

Though I don't think I could handle a very long ride on it.

Bob, don't know what you are doing with your pictures, but the photo in your post is all washed out for me.

Mike
