Mdina Italia Ducati single parts site

Postby IanHood » Thu May 08, 2025 6:58 pm

Very pleased to see that Doug at Mdina Italia has managed to get his web site live for single parts after purchasing the stock from Nigel - https://www.bevelsingleparts.com/gearbox-parts

Very pleased to see we still have someone in the UK with a good stock of parts :)

Hello All,

This last week has been the culmination of a lot of hard work over many months to transfer the operating of our parts business to Doug at Mdina Italia. On Thursday the new website went live after just under two weeks of the old website being closed and the stock has been moved. The new website and business, Bevel Single Parts, is a transitional collaboration between Lacey Ducati and Mdina Italia. Doug will be handling the day to day operation of the business but Edina and myself remain actively involved in the business in the background for the time being.

When Edina and myself realised we wanted to step back from the actual running of a parts business, paramount in our mind was a continued presence of the service we have being providing over many years for our many customers. We felt the time was right for us to do this as Edina approaches retirement and I wished to concentrate more on the Engineering side of the business. With this in mind, Lacey Ducati will transition back to Lacey Engineering which was the original name of the business in 1998. I think the collaboration will work well for everybody and I will continue with my engineering work as before and hopefully I will have more time to continue to develop more products for Doug to make available. I can only see that with more people involved both the businesses will go from strength to strength.

Edina has constructed the new website with my assistance, both ourselves and Doug are very pleased with the new site and as we have tried to maintain our original structure and familiarity, we hope you find it easy to use. Building a website of this scale is quite an undertaking especially to ensure as far as possible that everything is correct and complete. We feel that this is the best website we have created so far, but if you find any anomalies please let us know.

Doug has years of experience of running a similar parts business, but go easy on him until he finds his 'Bevel Single' feet ! :D

Best Wishes
Nigel

Hi Nigel and Edina,

Thank you for all the hard work on our behalf, it's important that we have a good spares supply in the UK.

Cheers,

Colin

Aye Edina and Nigel,

I would like to add my "Thanks" to you both for helping me to wear out my 450MKIII. I am not so sure about the late Mototrans 350 engined MKIII, with the muff bored on the squint and 1,400 miles on the clock! For which you have supplied quality replacement parts, at reasonable prices and sound advice of how it might be sorted. :D I haven't started to build it back up, yet, and after some of the rubbish assembly techniques that I have found inside the cases, it is going to be more expensive than I originally planned (Aren't they all? )

Hopefully, Edina will be able to chill a bit and Nigel, you'll be able to go for some rides on those mothballed bikes!

Thank you to Doug for choosing to tango, with the business.

All the best with the 2 businesses and good health to enjoy the fruits of your years of graft at the retail and development of "Quality" parts for the bevel singles. It's the quality and engineering nouse that counts.

My regards, Bill

Excellent service from Mdina.
Gearshift selector spring broke, but I only got chance to take it apart on Tuesday afternoon to see if I needed anything else besides a spring. All good inside so I ordered the spring on Tuesday evening. It dropped through the letterbox today.

I'm off to catch the ferry to Belfast shortly so the re-assembly will need to wait until we're back.

Aye kreece,

The link in IanHood's post appears to be working for me, at the time of posting. The one below is operational at the time of posting, it was also operational this afternoon.

Try this version of the link: Mdina/ex-Lacey_Ducati_singles_parts_site

I hope this helps you out.

Good health, Bill
