Holiday Greetings 2024

Postby bw_nh » Tue Dec 24, 2024 3:13 pm

Good afternoon List-

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Another wonderful year! Thank you all for help and advice, and derived pleasure from reading YOUR posts!

And LOTS of good news this year- I managed to re-wire the 1966 scrambler for 6 volts battery DC ignition, and it runs well! I was hoping to take it for a run around the lake (at our camp in Acworth NH), but the road on the other side of the lake was horrible- so I took some other nearby backroads, an equivalent milage, and ... success! Come Springtime, I hope to take it to work/school, and even more hopefully, home again! The Mach 1 simply sat in the barn again all year. Maybe next summer, I will add THAT one to the "in service" fleet of old vehicles.

And even better news for the year... Victoria (oldest daughter) was married in May, the date chosen to coincide with a visit from David’s Dad, from South Korea. AND… Victoria gave birth to Frances Jiah this Fall (6 weeks earlier than expected, yikes!) All are happy and healthy.

On to the 2024 Christmas photo-card - https://lotus-cortina.com/cards/2024.jpg

Victoria and David, outside of the Brooklyn Borough Hall, following their wedding. The inset photo is Frances Jiah, not quite one day old at that moment, being held by me, in the neo-natal ICU in Brooklyn.

If you are interested in getting a “hard copy” of the Christmas card, either this year, or in the future, contact me and I can put you on the “nice” list!

And this link takes you to ALL of the previous years’ cards - this year’s is the bottom row, farthest on the right... http://lotus-cortina.com/cards/card-pics.htm

One more time - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all!

Sincerely,

Bob Woolner

A Happy Xmas and New Year Bob, good health for years to come and keep twisting that throttle.

May I also extend those wishes to all readers/users of the forum and a special thank you to JimF, for his behind the scenes work to keep this mine of information up and running.

All the very best to you all, Bill

A very merry Christmas to all members here and to those who visit. It’s a huge pleasure to know there are other souls dedicated to the continuity and love of Ducati singles, in all their guises. You are all a huge font of knowledge and resource, thank you. Long May it continue.

As a band of (probably older than the average) people from across the continents, it’s heartening to have common interests, goals and loves. At this particular time of year let us hope that in future weeks, months and years the same spirit falls upon those places in the world where it is needed the most.

A very happy and peaceful Christmas to all who believe in it and a very happy and peaceful Christmas to those who don't :) I hope you all have a healthy and contented new year in 2025.
Best regards,

My little 175 was pressed into action today for our VMCC NYD Hangover Run.
I had planned to take my Guzzi with its full fairing to keep the chill off me, but it was only running on one cylinder so the Ducati was rolled out as a replacement.
A bit cool on the fingers and toes but a great way to start 2025.
