1966 Monza Carb insulator block

Hi, Anyone know where to get the rubber carburetor insulator block for a 1966 Monza, with the UB24 Dellorto, or know of another insulator block that would work. Thank very much. Aidan

However, it would be nice if they were made in that Tufnel material that is used on British bikes, or would that not work....

I have recently replaced a rubber insulator with a tufnol one (thanks George) and I don't know about efficiency, but it sure makes fitting the carb a lot simpler as it is just a case of lightly tightening the nuts, with no worry about distortion, and the throttle slide moves more freely. This is with an Amal carb straight onto the head, so the standard Ducati manifold will be different, but I do not see why a tufnol spacer would not work as long as gaskets were used, or maybe a fuel-resistant sealant.

There are many different size tufnol spacers available for British bikes and one may fit the manifold. Have a look at the Amal web site for a start, they sell different bore spacers.

I did receive an insulator block from Guzzino, and it appears to be a material that either is Tufnol, or a similar material. As Duccout says, just lightly tighten nuts, and it all works fine. Fortunately, the flange was not damaged from overtightening of the rubber insulator.
