I recently purchased a 69 450 scrambler I was wondering if the vin corresponds with it's build number,
my title shows the vin 450203 would that be the 203rd built? Just curious.

Re: 69 450 scrambler vin
Quite possibly since the numbering began at 450001.

Re: 69 450 scrambler vin
To be correct, your bike doesn't have a VIN
. It has a frame number, which isn't quite the same thing
. (And many US imports didn't even have that, only an engine number).
Was your bike the 203rd built? Possibly. It's certainly an early one - as all the American bikes are - as, according to Ian Falloon, a new frame number sequence of 460001 started in July 1969.
