Elite footpeg mount

Would someone with an Elite know/measure the exact length of the left hand frame footrest bracket? My 1964 Elite had a damaged frame when I bought it in bits. I had it repaired with a replacement mount that was included. This was the same length as that on the right hand side-around 50mm. I'm assuming that the left hand side should be around 70mm. I just wanted to confirm the proper size before I proceed. Thanks.
