Indian manufactured fuel tank

Postby JohnBR » Sat Jul 30, 2022 4:59 pm

Hi has anyone used one of the Indian manufactured fuel tanks ? Looking for a tank to fit a NC 250 frame just wondering about quality not so worried about exact shape as bike will be non standard set up. Thanks

A friend of mine bought a replica BSA gold star tank from India a couple of years ago........it wasn't a perfect copy but was only noticeably different when placed beside a genuine one, to the untrained eye on the bike it looked perfect, it was well made and chromed beautifully. I think it's probably a bit of a lottery whether you get a good job or not.
Cheers,
George

I have one of the Vic Camp Works replica tank on my bike. Looks and functions just fine. There's a company in the UK that makes a similar one for more than twice the price but for my needs the Indian tank is just what I needed.
