kickstart lever arm length

Postby Philly Eddie » Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:41 pm

Cats and Kittens: While scavenging for parts for my 450 (springhead), I came across kickstart arms of different lengths; Approximately 20 and 22 cm respectively. Can someone tell me what differing applications are? Which was fitted to my bitsa bike which (I suspect) started out as a 1969 Jupiter). Thanks for any info. Eddie

...I've just bought me a new 22 cm kickstart lever. According to my supplier (desmo.net) it came from a 350 Condor. I was curious how the spare parts availability of the 350 Condor is, apparently good.

Kind regards

If Andreas says that's what they came with ... then you can be pretty sure that's what they came with! :)

...no doubt about that!

I thought it's just interesting that the Swiss army was so nice to their motorcyclist to provide them with a longer Kickstart lever to make that part of their live easier...

The milled cutout is also interesting.

Cheers

Aye Wolf,
The milled cutout is also interesting.

Simple solution allowing the lever to pass the rear brake pedal, I suspect, but don't know for sure.

Good health, Bill

So it is - I missed that, thanks for pointing it out.
