Ducati rebuild. Here I go again

That is frustrating George. The DVLA by all accounts is a shambles at the moment and I think that they are giving priority to HGV renewals; I heard one driver on the radio claim that there is a backlog of 230000 renewals in the bowels of DVLA. I don't know if that is true, but hopefully they will whisk yours through fast.

And the good news is that after two weeks waiting for dating letter from Ducati owners club, DVLA registration arrived after only three weeks wait. Soon as I get number plate on I need some sunshine to get some miles in.

Update
50 miles (80 Kilometres) riding. All good so far. Hope I'm not tempting fate.
Handling good, brakes good, electrics good, pleased with Electrix 12V alternator and electronic ignition, well worth doing.
Engine running well with no oil leaks. Trying to be patient running in, one short burst to 50MPH before I knew it, bike wants to go.
Will be keeping this till I give up riding.

Looking good George and pleased you got out for a canter in the balmy autumnal sunshine. Keep putting the miles under the wheels.

Out on the 450 today for a canter and came back after 50 miles looking like I had been motocrossing! Tatty and neep harvesting means lots of clart on the roads and mixed with leaves and diesel/hydraulic oil, keeps me on my toes.

My apologies for using colloquial Scots on an International forum, without an explanation.

Tatty = potato
Neep or tumshy = Turnip
Clart = Sticky soil, usually clayey and/or silty in texture that sticks to tractor tyres, wellies (rubber boots), etc and then gets spread on the road surface as these vehicles leave the fields during harvesting operations. I have also posted a quote from an online dictionary below.
