Hi, is the fitting of the sprocket holder to the hub always tight, is there a method people use to ease the two together?

Hi Lance,
Mine just pushes together with a slight interference fit and doesn't take much effort.
You could try a light smear of silicone grease or red rubber grease on the leading edges of the fins in the hub.

I have tried a light smear of oil and grease to no avail, I keep thinking I have the wrong rubber !

that is a rubber for the early Amadoro hub . the GriMeCa hubs used another rubber .
