Monza 160 engine block, clutch side

Postby Kabi » Sun Apr 04, 2021 5:33 pm

Hi all,
today i finally cleaned right side of engine, but i have found a very interesting thing. Im missing a small piece of the engine block :geek: , primarily the clutch assembly. I know the seller said something, but i did not think it will be that mess. Photo below. I just want to ask you guys, as more experienced owners, do you think it will be big issue? Or will be better to use this engine as a paperweight? I dont want to ride on Monza around europe, just only around Prague, once a year maybe..
What i tried is if the clutch is able to do something and it seems it is working. But the solution/tuning, well.. it is hardcore 8-)
I assume it happened after issue with chain.

Thank you for your point of view.

I'd say if it works as it is then leave.

It looks a workmanlike solution.
It's almost invisible with the cover on, apart from the bolt heads sticking up from the crankcase.
That could look neater with countersunk screws instead.
It's part of the bike's history and character.
