narrow case gear selector drum

I am assembling a 350 n/c bottom end for my racer from a collection of parts.. The 5 speed selector drum I have I find is too long by about 5mm (so the cases won't close). looking at parts books I find n/c and wide case engines have diferent part numbers for their selector drums, so presumbly they are different. looks like I've got a wide case drum..
Can anyone confirm this

Yes, the widecase selector drum is wider than narrowcase.

i just measured both and a widecase selector drum is 6 mm longer the a nc item .
