Hi, dear Mach 1 enthusiasts,
a friend of mine was offered a 250 Mach1S, but are not shure if this bike is a genuine Mach1s. So I'm looking here for some fotos and informations about the differences between the std. and the S version.
Longtime ago a forum member sold his bike on ebay http://www.motoscrubs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2528&p=18877&hilit=mach1s#p18877. I remember having seen fotos of this bike in his offer. At least, I recall a different front brake (Oldani or Amadoro?). Unfortunately, the offer cannot be retrieved from ebay anymore.
So, can anybody please help by uploading or sending some scanned fotos or brochures?
tnx, cheers and season's greetings
Hans

Re: Mach 1S identification
Hi Hans there is some confusion about the Mach1S . some people call the bike with the sandcast engine and cradle
frame a Mach1 S . but it is a SC
a mach 1S is a 5 speed narrowcase engine with some special parts . the crankshaft to name one and i have seen straight cut primary gears to
the cases are also stamped M 1 S
the highest number i have seen is 25

Re: Mach 1S identification
Oldani brakes front and rear, alloy rims were the obvious external differences from the later production Mach 1. The example that appeared on this board had the original Oldani wheels but had been modified quite a bit. The engine had also been modified internally but still had the crankshaft with F3 connecting rod. It was unclear if other components were original.
If you look up Phil’s (bikester250) posts, there are quite a few details about his M1S.

Eldert an Matt,
thanks a lot for your very helpful information. As a result I found several fotos of 2 bikes and some internals of the engine!
we are now looking forward to identify my friend's object of desire now easily.

Good luck Hans! Hope it turns out to be a genuine Mach 1 S. If it is, would you post pictures?
Also, what is the engine number?
