uploading images

Hi all,
Is anyone having problems uploading photographs to this forum? each time I try I am getting an "error file is too large message"but these are smaller less detailed photo's than I have uploaded before.

Yes, I've always had that problem, and see that message, so I edit my photo to a slightly smaller size, and it will take the edited photo. Usually I'm doing that from my smart phone.
