I have just purchased a 67 Ducati. I have striped it down to frame. I’m having trouble with removing the swing arm and front forks. Any advice. Trying to do a rebuild from ground up.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say, "I’m having trouble with removing the swing arm and front forks". Trouble how? Do you mean you don't know how to go about either operation? Or do you know what to do, but are finding the components are seized somehow?

On the swing arm I loosen the two Allen bolts on both sides. Do I push the sleeve thru the swing arm and frame? And on the forks. Do I need to take the big all bolts out and separate the fork trees from the forks? This is my first time working on a motorcycle. I’m definitely learning as I go. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Ah ha! So you're on a voyage of discovery, then! .

Well, as on any voyage, the best thing you can do is to start off with a map - in this case, a workshop manual! So, for example, as far as the front forks are concerned, a Clymer manual would be a good 'map' for you - see the pages copied and pasted below:



As regards the swing arm, you need a different 'map' : a parts diagram ...



As you can see, there is a pivot pin, #010 in the diagram, that goes all the width of the swing arm. This you push out. This is often easier said than done, because they are often seized. If this is the case with yours, come back for advice on what to do next.

Once the pin is out, you can remove the swing arm from the frame, enabling you to inspect/replace/whatever the bushes, #320 & 325, in which the pivot pin ... pivots.

Btw, it is ALWAYS good practice to thoroughly clean components before starting to take them apart!
