MOTOTRANS

I bought a Mototrans 175TS recently, which was sold as a 1962 model. On strippoing it down, I find the Speedo is stamped 9/65, so could my 175 be a 1965?

Can you work out anything from the frame number?
Cheers

The LH fork slider should have a date stamped onto the lug that engages with the brake plate.
Some 1960's Mototrans motors have a date painted on the inside of the crankcases, so stripping the motor may indicate a build date.
As veloduke says, a frame number would help. A 1962 175TS should have a number around MD52000 - 53000
