I remember that in 1965 Americans Mark3's came with rear sets including the curved kick starter. My 1966 that I have had since new, I unrated it, has the frame mounting points for the rear sets the same as 1965. I also have another frame with them. My local dealer told me he had seen the Mach 1 at Berliner but didn't order any because they didn't come with the tach like the Mark 3. I hope this adds a little more background info.

Wow I appreciate all of the info so far guys! Its all a little confusing; Mark3 and MarkIII were different bikes or at least had differing configurations. My frame has the rearset lugs and brake cable tabs for the rear-sets and I just checked and it does have the brake cable tab for the standard footpeg and brake configuration as well. Does that mean my bike is likely a 67 Diana? and would it be a mark 3 or MarkIII? And BTW I do have the curved starter and all of the rear-set foot controls and clip-ons that came on the bike so this bike was originally equipped with rear-sets and clip-ons.

If it has an engine number over 100000 that would be the range of 1967. Any Mark 3 frame could have clipons/rearsets installed but the period Berliner brochure images did not show this configuration

I just got a 1967 Ducati 250 scrambler. I have striped it to the frame. But I don’t know how to take off swing arm and forks. Any advice?

You need to start your own thread to get the best response . I expect that's what you intended to do.
