Just out of curiosity, why were you getting it MOT'd? It's presumably old enough to be exempt although some people have told me that DVLA want an MOT before they will issue a registration. But someone I know registered an old Guzzi by just sending off the forms and some photos.

Yeah, I could have forgone the MOT as my bike was already registered as an Historic Vehicle and has a registration number. However, seeing as I've done a nut and bolt restoration, I wanted piece of mind at this stage that everything was safe. In future I probably won't bother, but it made sense to me this time round as I'm just wired up that way

Makes sense. I was going to carry on taking my Guzzis, just to get someone else to look them over.
