I have just acquired a wc lower that is fairly complete and in decent shape. it is marked as dm450 454557
along with a good cyl. and a nondesmo head
I have worked on a number of nc but I know nothing about wc singles
The head I have has the valves an springs and seems in decent shape but no
cam or rocker arms..
Do the wc rocker arms from non desmo heads interchange along the 250 350 450 range?
How about the cams?
I am going to need cam covers I see a number for the "desmo" heads are available do they interchange with
the non desmo heads.
I' am going to need a the cover over the sprocket (the shifter box" do these interchange with the nc
I am going to assume that most of the other "450 desmo" parts are interchangeable with the non desmo engine
parts (out side of the head) is this correct
thanks so much for any advice you can give
joe

There's a viewable online parts list here:
https://www.ducatimeccanica.com/parti_d ... /index.htm
With it you can compare the part numbers between different models, to confirm or not they are the same.
Diagrams have 3 digit numbers, corresponding to the last 3 numbers of the part number shown in the associated text listing.

Hi Joe
250 and 350 non Desmo rockerarms are the same as the 450 . only the 450 uses a 8 mm rockerarm pin and the 250 / 350 a 10 mm pin . the 450 cil head is wider and uses a longer endbearing cap so the same camshaft as the 250 / 350 can be used .
the enginumber puts it in the 1971 RT range . does the desmo cylinderhead has a compression release behind the bevelshaft tunnel ?
a narrowcase selectorbox is slightly diff from a widecase but there are 4 speed selectorboxes out there so beware .
regards Eldert

Hi Joe
yes bushings are not the same . 450 has a bushing for a 8 mm shaft and 250 /350 bushings are for a 10 mm shaft
