Just finishing up my 1966 250 scrambler after 4 long years. I am still restoring the Delorto so I am using a new Amal 626, jetted to a Triumph 500. Thought jetting would be close but is popping on decel so I plan to open up main jet and lift up needle a tad.
Any one know jet etc. setting for this carb on a ducati 250? ( might save me a few hours of pain). Searched forum but could not find this carb model.
Thanks,
Bob in Oregon

Hi there, I did a bit of research on this before contacting Amal and ordering a new carb.
The details of the 627 jetted for a 250 Mototrans can be seen here:

When they sent my carb (a 928) they gave me two tuning booklets that I can try and share with you.
A question from me, did your 626 fit that studs on the head without needing adjustment? The 2inch hole spacing on my 928 is just a bit too narrow to fit the head studs.

A question from me, did your 626 fit that studs on the head without needing adjustment? No, I drilled it out just a bit so it would fit.
