Amal Carb - head stud spacing

Hi all. I've read a lot about people using Amal concentric carbs on 250s, and seen a lot of pictures of the same, so went ahead and ordered one direct from Amal. Unfortunately the stud spacing on my head doesn't seem to fit the Amal. It's close but about 1-2mm out.

Has anyone else fitted an Amal carb to a 250 NC Scr head?

Ducati carb spacing is 52 mm . my guess is that Amal is 2 inch and that is 50.8 mm so you are 1.2 mm short .

i would elongate the holes in the amal

I drilled the carb out just a bit and it fits. I'm using a 930. It won't start yet without a shot of starter fluid. I'm suspecting the pilot jet so I've ordered a new one.
