Ducati Mach1 Tank

Original Tank for a Ducati Mach1 for sale
- solid steel
- little bit rust inside
- has a little dent - should be relativ easy to repair
- petcock threads are okay
- 250,- € + postage

there is something odd about this tank . i never seen a Mach 1 tank with rubbers in the front tank mounts .

Hello Eldert,

could bee a modification by an owner ?
But what is it then?
I can compare this tank with a diana tank on monday - fotos coming then.

thanks for your post.
I have made some pictures from my 3 tanks.

the right two are genuine diana tanks - the left is a mach 1 tank.
a little bit smaller as the diana tanks, with the weldet dent at the underside.

I think the rubbers in the front mount are a later modification.

The dark blue diana tank is a first series tank and has round mounting holes.
The naked (is for sale) a second series tank has the slots like Bobs tank.
I can no identify a system in the form of the mounting holes.
Has anybody an idea?

Karsten,

I have seen those metal re-inforced front holes on the benelli tanks and the wards riverside tanks. They can look very similar.
I found this picture on-line of a Benelli tank in front of a MAch1.
