Just come across a review for a new book about the singles, at least I think that it is new. Or maybe I'm the last person in the world to find out about it..

Re: New Singles Book
Ian writes a lot of books, but I had not seen this one either. Thanks for pointing its existence out.

Re: New Singles Book
Ian Falloon's book on the Ducati singles has just been published after a few months delay.
It is full of mainly colour photographs and his usual description of the different model singles produced in Italy.
It will be useful for anyone restoring a Ducati single, so long as it is not a Mototrans model, which are not covered.
However, do not take his word as gospel truth.
I did find quite a number of incorrect statements in the text.
Some of the photographs show details quite contrary to what he writes in the text.
By his own admission he says in his introduction that he is not very familiar with Ducati singles.
I can believe it.

Sorry to hear this Jon, a book with mis information is sometimes worse than no book at all.

Re: New Singles Book
Long time no post.
I have Ian's book and it very well done for a book that is pretty much impossible to write in the first place. I have a number of Ducati single books and they all have mistakes or are slanted to one particular market. There were so many variations from the factory(s) and variations in spec to each market that it's a job for an encyclopedia not a book.
I highly recommend people purchase it and enjoy it for what it is while being careful not use it as a restoration guide.
