kickstarter return

Hey guys just finished my rebuild. It fired right up after 4 kicks!!! sounded great too. but the only issue I'm having is the kickstarter does not return back to the upright position i have to do it manually.... Any ideas of how i went wrong. thx rob

Nc! It's starting to come back to parrallel with ground but only sometimes. Here r some pics of build. I may need a stronger spring, but I remember there being a lot of tension when I wound the spring

did you try removing a shim behind the cover ?

I think your right. The shim must go. It's running so well except for that. The eldert
