Hi Scrubs
I have a question for the historians of the forum.
I am trying to find out when the 125 frame changed from a pressed metal "welded" front tube to the standard tube.
I have seen the similar frame as mine on the 100 sport, the 1956 Gran Premio.
I have seen a frame DM200###DM noted as 125 Sport 1st series, My frame is DM201228DM & it has the same front tube.
SO ALL YOU HISTORIANS please help

Re: 125 Sport frame
I've only seen the front down tube made by welding pressed halves together used on 1957 production models. The only verified 1958 model I've seen had a round front tube, and I've never seen a photo of a factory race bike with the welded front tube.

Re: 125 Sport frame
Thanks Rick
I wasn't sure,
Looking at pics from the Ducati website showed the 100 with the frame
I found pics of a similar frame on a 1958 175SS F3 replica

Starting to do my head in, there is so little information I can find on pre 1960 bevel drives
check the slide show here for 1956!! 125. it is the Ducati website so it must be right
