Carb recommendations for a semi built 350 W/C?

Hello all.

I acquired a vintage racer sometime ago and have been converting it back to street.

The motor was gone through, it does have a cam and race piston. Piston was shaved down for street use. Not sure on compression.

Can you guys recommend a good carb setup? Not looking to make gobs of power.

Heres a pic of build, obv she's been turned into more of street cafe.

Or around slide Delorto 30 or 32

It was an older Amal, not sure on size. Is there a flat slide Mikuni that would work? I need to find something shorter as the tank sits pretty low. What size Mukini you think?

The inlet port diameter at the flat face of a big valve 250/350 cylinder head is 29mm.
I think it'd be appropriate to use a carburettor of that size, or 30mm close enough.
Bigger carbs are sometimes fitted in the hope of more performance, but a proper reducing adaptor should be used, and installation can be tricky due to larger body size.
I've used the square slide VHB29 (very good), Dell'Orto/Malossi PHF34 (not too good), SSI29 (OK but not good at low speed)(but looks great) and Amal 930 (best of the lot if I'm honest) on my road going singles.
Not to push Amal too much, but I gather they are being remanufactured to better specification now, including hard-chromed slides.
Mikunis have a very good reputation as aftermarket fitments, but they look like Mikunis.

Mikuni also make a metal 90° elbow that routes the throttle cable straight forward that might be of use with your minimal tank clearance. Such an elbow could of course be fitted to other carbs as well. A 28mm might also work well for the street. My stock Sebring runs very well with a 28 Mikuni round slide - very responsive at low to medium rpm and a nice idle.
