New forum for the European Marques!

Postby MayerMR » Thu Jul 16, 2015 2:26 am

Hey everyone!

After consulting Mr. Frazen and getting his blessing for this thread, I wanted to let everyone know that I have been working on a forum that specifically caters to those of us weird enough to not just enjoy classic bikes, but more specifically the even *less* reliable, but arguably sexier, European marques!

I'd love, and most certainly appreciate, anyone with an interest in these bikes to visit the site, and, if the mood catches you, become one of the first members and post away til your hearts content!

The site is in that awkward teenage stage where I don't have many members nor posts so it's hard to get members and posts! Definition of a Catch 22!

The url is: http://www.EuropeanMotorcycleClassics.com

Any feedback or comments are welcome and appreciated!

S/F,

Nice idea!

I tried to register, but after 4 attempts at the last step (code that a machine can't read), no success alas.
It does seem to be particularly tricky, and I'm not a machine!

May I have some definitions? For this website, what is meant by classic, and also European?

Hi Jordan!

I'm sorry you had so much trouble registering - I'm glad I posted this on a couple of forums because I'm getting some great feedback. I tried to replicate the issue but it seems to be working okay; if you aren't able to read it just shoot me a PM with your preferred login and email and I'll make you an account and send you the temp pw that you can change.

Definition is loose - I was trying to be fairly specific with the naming so search engines can find the url relevant but also broad so that everyone with a euro bike feels welcome. Basically, I made the site because though there are sites dedicated Ducatis, Brit bikes, and Bavarian bikes, some of the smaller marques seem to get overlooked. By no means will I be kicking any a post off about a Ducati or Triumph, but my goal is for it to be all encompassing for bike marques originating from Portugal eastward through to Eastern Europe :)

Thank you all for your interest and feedback,

-Matt

Eldert,

I did see your account and you should be active now! There is an issue with my mail server configuration that I hope to have fixed today. Until it's fixed I have confirmation via Admin so I went in and confirmed several folks last night.

Thanks for being one of the first!
