Ducati 160 oversize piston

i have seen a 62 mm Piston at lacey Ducati for 100 £
Complete with rings and clips.

Well, I do have some reasonably good news.

I spoke with Venolia today and they are willing to make a new piston for about $114, however, they custom order the rings so can't quote those - less than $100 was his guess though. Not too bad and option for a brand new custom piston. Definitely top floating option at this time.

Does anyone have an interest some some custom pistons? I'm interested in a volume purchase if there is interest.

in my opinion you'd be crazy to have a custom piston made for a monza jr. especially when Nigel has them complete with rings clips and pin for 100gpb approximately $150 usd plus shipping. shipping shouldn't be to bad for a small box and there is likely some other things you could get while your at it. plus you'd be supporting one of the good Ducati parts suppliers we have available to us. shipping isn't free in the us either and I've paid some pretty high shipping bills for parts in
the US. I could see having a piston made if it was cheaper or you
wanted something that just wasn't available off the shelf or for a race bike but we are talking about a monza jr.
it's your money do whatever you like, it's easy to spend money working on these bikes it's a little harder to save it.

Ya know, I think you're very much correct. I shot an email to Lacey Ducati and checked again after you mentioned it and I'll be darned if I somehow missed it on there the first time!
