Re: Ducati Vento 350 Side covers
Do you just need the fibreglass side covers, or do you need the metal boxes underneath as well?
The metal boxes are the same as fitted to many Spanish built Ducati Road machines, but without the metal lid.
The fibre outer covers do come up for sale occasionally, mainly on E-bay in Spain or Germany.
There was a LH one up for sale about a week ago, although I can't find it listed now.
You could try Miguel Angel at 'Recambios Ducati.com' in Spain.
He has both the inner boxes and a slightly cut down pair of outer covers listed on his site.
However, as Craig Smith will confirm, reliability is not his middle name, and whether he actually has them in stock is another matter.
If you look on his site, go to Recambio usado (Used Spares). The side panel covers are listed as Tapas Laterales in the carroceria section.

And confirm it I will ..

Yeah, he can be hard work, our friend Miquel Antonio. But look on the bright side - think of him as a nostalgic reminder of what dealing with Ducati spares people was like in the 1980s

(Thank goodness for the Nigel Laceys of the current era ...

Hi Peter,
A pair popped up on Lamaneta a coupla days back. Fully priced at 100€/pair, IMO; but of course, that may depend on how rich and/or desperate you are

Go:

Un saludo

Re: Ducati Vento 350 Side covers
Vento side panels do not come up too often.
I think the last pair I bought were about 100 Euros, although they did come with the metal side boxes that sit behind the side panels .
The metal boxes are the same as the 250/350 Road models, without the outer cover, which are a bit easier to find.
If you really need a pair. it's probably worth 100 Euros.
Perhaps I should make a few fibre glass copies from my spares.

Ah, not entirely a bad idea, Jon! Only problem: you might have as many as - oh, I don't know - 4? 6? possible customers

@Peter: Jon's advice is worth considering. The cheapest I've seen for a pair of covers and boxes was 40€. But that was little while back, and prices have been rising
