Can you ID this tank?

Can anyone identify this tank and where I might be able to purchase one?



It appears to be different from a Vic Camp tank

Two different tanks ,neither remotely suitable for road use.

I realize that both are different. I wanted to know if anyone knew the style/name/manufacturer of the one shown in the first two pictures.

The first couple of pics look pretty close to the Vic Camp kits....the third is pretty much your generic Ducati single race tank available from just about any fiberglass supplier like Airtech Streamlining, Disco Volante Moto, Syd's, Old Racing Spare Parts...ect...

I found this on Tinternet. Looks similar: filler cap on the left, black recess/stripe down the middle, line of the curve at the rear of the tank -?

Unfortunately, Michael Moore (he of Euro Spares) doesn't say where the tank came from, only that "Fred Mork sponsored me for a season on this narrow-case non-desmo 350". But you could try e-mailing him? He's a nice guy ...

The tank on the first bike looks like an early vic camp tank as an original bike on our site:

The second bike was sold by us and the tank was a Vic Camp replica tank made of alloy. Later Vic camp tanks were more rounded and similar to the second bike. However the later original tanks were fibreglass and had a semi sunk in flip filler to the right hand side.

As to whether the tanks Vic Camp supplied in the 60's/70's were original to him or copies of Italian tanks I don't know, before my time! I understand they were UK manufactured and have been copied by many ever since,
