Can anybody advise me the quantity of oil I should put in the Marzocchi 35mm forks on my 250 Desmo? And should I pour it through the plug at the top of each fork? I'm in the process of rebuilding the forks.....

Re: Oil for Marzocchi 35mm forks
The 250-350-450 M3/D/SCR user manual, 3rd edition, April 1974 says (as per fork leg):
Ceriani forks (disk brake, Desmo model): 170cc AGIP F.1 OSO55
Marzocchi forks (drum brake, M3 model): 200cc AGIP F.1 Rotra ATF
Marzocchi forks (drum brake, SCR model): 230cc AGIP F.1 Rotra ATF
AGIP OSO: http://webserver.flak.no/vbilder/02603_2.pdf, 55 out of production? I was told it is equal to a SAE20 fork oil
AGIP Rotra ATF: http://travel.eni.com/catalog/products/documents/002520_1_en_IT_1_106.pdf
cheers Hans
p.s. One may download a lot of italian manuals, parts lists etc. from http://www.rpw.it/Documentazione.htm
