Splitting 160 cases
Do you really need the tool shown in the manual to split cases on a Monza 160, or will "common" tools, gearpullers, etc. suffice? -Doug

I’ve heard tales that the flywheel can be removed without the factory tool, but it’s not worth the risk. The rest of the engine can be disassembled without special tool if you have a way to lock the various shafts from turning while you loosen the nuts or if you have access to pneumatic tools. Also need to follow the sequence that will facilitate disassemble without special tools. There are many tips on disassembly in this site. Matt
