Insurance

Postby hoylie » Tue Jun 25, 2013 7:56 pm

I just bought my Scrambler and now the big part of getting it insured! Does anyone have any recommendations, I've had it before with my cars when insurance companies don't have it on their list! So any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Are you in the US?

I have my bitsa 250 insured with Progressive.

Since the Mach 1 has more value and is ridden very little I have a Condon Skelly classic vehicle policy for it.

After using an a local agent who sourced American Family Ins. for my bikes at a reasonable cost (less than $80-$100 per year), I switched to Haggerty because they offer comprehensive and agreed upon and total loss protection. I have four old bikes that are well self-restored and ridden to keep them in shape. Other policies I looked at could or would not value the vehicles and comprehensive and loss coverage were highly expensive. Some collector policies have annual mileage limitations to consider, however.
