Thanks for the explanation on the wilder cams effect on compression ratio. Took me several reads, but I've got it now!
I've access to a 350WC compression release mechanism. I did a trial fit on my engine, and it physically fits. What is it about the WC CR mechanism that makes it unsuitable for the NC? I suspect it's related to the CR "pin" and its location against the rocker arm, but I'm looking for confirmation (I don't have the valves installed on the bike).

____ It's been since the '70s when I once encountered the interchangeability issue, so I'm no-longer really for certain,, but think I recall that the w-c.plunger-pin was too-long (and-so I had to grind it down between 2~4mm), but seems like there was some-other components issue involved as well.
