The saddle had a slight tear in a rear corner, and the metal "DUCATI" badge across the back of the saddle was reduced to two metal bits; a "D" and an "I" riveted across from each other. Surprisingly, the 40 year-old seat foam was still soft and spongy.
I'd seen Tony O'Connor advertise in Walneck's Classic Cycle Trader. Later I'd a found a testimonial to his work on an internet web site. Tony claimed "Museum Quality" restorations in his advertising.
Tony's work is incredible. I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. Poor light on the morning I shot this. I will work at getting better photos of the saddle that can do justice to Tony's great skill.
Tony completely reconditioned the seat frame and repainted it. When I opened the package from Australia, it was as if the year was 1964 and I was receiving a saddle right from the factory.
