I grease the bearings,then I use the smallest rubber band to hold them in place till cases are in place.hot oil will dissolve the rubber band in time.

I've been asking around for an old safa from say a monza or sebring, I've seen guys pull a mold off mk3 toolboxes ect. And make some nice stuff,using fibreglass. In around 1972 I bought a new SAFA battery for my 1965 Sebring. The battery lasted a couple o' years. My big gripe was no vent tube like Jap batteries, so every thing around that battery lost all paint and rusted like hell. I even tried putting it in a plastic bag,and wasn't any better.
