Re: Input Shaft Bearning Removal
I used an expanding wall fixing. They come in various diameters. Edit: fitted from the outer side and tapped through iirc, plus heat.

Re: Stray HT sparking
Are you really sure that a low-resistance value reads between battery minus and the engine case? Imho the engine is somehow electrically isolated from the frame and battery minus, so the spark's current doesn't see a low-resistance path to battery/engine case, hence a second spark is produced at th...

Re: Stray HT sparking
Engine may be trying to earth itself through the throttle/choke cables? put a temporary jumper earth cable firmly connected to battery neg and an engine bolt/screw (not an engine to frame bolt) I think you have a dodgy earth path. Cheers, George Agree, the carb is on a plastic sleeve so only conduc...

I don't think the video will load here so I've put it into dropbox. The share link is:- https://www.dropbox....

Re: Head / barrel oilway o-ring
Aye Geordie, You appear to have squeezed the crankcases together and closed a gap between their mating surfaces by tightening the engine mounting bolts and not by tightening the cap screws holding the cases together! Case faces may not be true, either due to warping or butchery? The 6mm cap screws ...

Re: Head / barrel oilway o-ring
Has any one mentioned the crankcase breather? Cheers, George I've done two runs, one with the crankcase breather as supplied new (Mototrans type) and the other with it removed. It made no difference to the oil leak at the head. The pic shows wads that I had in place for the run with the breather fi...
