Re: Ducati lockdown quiz

Can you weld? This past weekend I welded up a forked tool to compress the springs and change out my exhaust shim. I think it cost me $12 and I have spare bar left over. I dont weld very well so it took me about 2 hours but came out pretty good and worked even better than it looks. Heres a link to my...

Re: Need engine repair near Philadelphia

Not this shop. I know where that Discovery channel bike is. No longer there, still not running. Anyway, I'll take anywhere within 100 miles of Philly. Eddie Ok, sorry to suggest them then. I met Adam at Barber a few years back and he seemed like a nice guy. Are you anywhere near Port Clinton? I wor...

Re: Mikuni Replacement

I don't know how the prices compare, but brand new Dell O'rto 28mm pumper carbs for Moto Guzzi can be found on eBay for £75. Wow, that is really cheap. Can you share a link? Recently I was researching a 30mm Dellorto for a Benelli group and the price was $200. that 26 mm is not a Ducati single carb...

Re: Mikuni Replacement

Hi, I have a Sudco sourced Mikuni. I went with a 28. Im fairly happy with it after rejetting the pilot and raising the needle. It requires a new intake manifold and rubber coupler to connect. I bought the intake at Guzzino. They have several different sizes. The rubber coupler came from Treatland I ...

Re: 250 narrowcase rear axle orientation info needed

I have a similar problem with a mismatched hub but it appears my axle is way too long on the R or speedo side. I also have both speedo drive plates so measured them. The Campy(or whoever made it) plate without the fake air scoop is 2-3mm shorter. If you add that to the width of that washer or spacer...

Re: Simple scrambler ignition system

Can you please disconnect the wires from the bridge but keep the connection of the 2 yellow wires, then let the engine run at different revs (say idle, 3000/min, 6000/min) and measure the AC voltage between them? Hopefully, your multimeter has an AC volts position... Then please, report the values ...

Simple scrambler ignition system

Hi gang, thought i'd start my own thread and stop hijacking others. Hans is going to walk me through a test of my proposed simple scrambler ignition system. I'm currently running the red stator wire straight into one terminal of a bridge rectifier. The two yellow stator wires are joined together and...

Re: AAU Fixing Screw m4x10

Have you looked into a parts catalog, especially for your bike? In most of them the dimensions and types of screws and shims are given. Hans Yes sir, thats where I pulled the m4x10 and verified that the driven gear and shaft parts are universal across models but the AAU is not. The scrambler and mo...
